GER Máquinas Herramienta S.L.U. has introduced the SRA-CNC, a versatile CNC surface grinding machine, tailored for manufacturers demanding precision and productivity. The machine is designed for both surface and face grinding, offering significant capabilities for a variety of component sizes.

Engineered with advanced CNC control, the SRA-CNC utilises the latest FANUC CNC system. This includes GER’s graphical conversational software, simplifying both programming and operation. The inclusion of CNC-controlled vertical and transverse axes results in remarkable accuracy and repeatability.

The SRA-CNC features multi-purpose surface grinding capabilities, allowing it to perform both plane surface and face grinding using the grinding wheel’s periphery and side. Importantly, the machine offers flexible grinding cycles, supporting independent roughing and finishing parameters for grinding and dressing. Users can store up to six different machining programmes, enhancing versatility and efficiency.

To maintain consistent accuracy and surface finish, the SRA-CNC is equipped with multiple automatic dressing cycles. This includes automatic wheel diameter compensation. Optional capabilities such as teach-in programming, interpolated angular grinding, and predefined dressing profiles further enhance its functionality.

Manufactured in Spain, the SRA-CNC is supported across the UK by DTS (UK) Ltd, providing a high-performance solution for precision surface grinding needs. According to the company, such innovations are critical for organisations aiming to optimise their grinding processes and output quality.
