At the International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) in 1996, Modern Tool & Machine’s Randy Kirt challenged machine builders to program a part on-site. Hurco was the only company to meet this challenge, showcasing their expertise in rapid programming and machining precision.

Fast forward nearly three decades and the partnership between Hurco and Modern Tool & Machine has strengthened significantly. Recently, Integra Machine Tool, a Wisconsin-based job shop, made a strategic investment to enhance their machining capabilities by acquiring a Hurco VMX42SRT 5-axis machine.

This addition marks a pivotal step for Integra, allowing the team to fully utilise Hurco’s advanced conversational control system. The new machine is expected to streamline operations by enabling the production of complex parts in a single shift, greatly enhancing their efficiency and output.

The VMX42SRT is known for its precision and flexibility, making it a valuable asset for manufacturers seeking to improve their operational capacity. It is designed to handle intricate tasks with ease, a feature that Integra plans to leverage to its fullest potential.

This development is part of Integra Machine Tool’s ongoing efforts to maintain cutting-edge capabilities in the competitive manufacturing sector. Their collaboration with Hurco underscores a commitment to quality and innovation in machining processes.

For manufacturers looking to advance their operational efficiency, 5-axis technology presents a substantial upgrade, and Integra’s adoption of the VMX42SRT serves as a testament to this movement.
