Saginaw Control & Engineering Inc. has revealed plans for a significant expansion of its operations in Saginaw, reinforcing its commitment to domestic manufacturing growth and increased production capacity. The project includes the development of a new 230,000-square-foot facility, alongside major investments in advanced machinery and equipment across its existing sites.

The expansion represents a capital investment of at least $50 million and is expected to create a minimum of 95 new jobs, strengthening the local economy and supporting workforce development in the region. By scaling its infrastructure and capabilities, the company aims to meet rising demand for its products across multiple high-growth industries.

Saginaw Control & Engineering specialises in the manufacture of electrical enclosures and precision sheet metal fabrications, which are critical components in a wide range of applications. Its products are widely used in sectors such as robotics, agriculture, food and beverage, and data centres—industries that increasingly require reliable, high-quality enclosures and fabricated components to support advanced technologies and infrastructure.

The addition of a new facility will significantly enhance the company’s manufacturing footprint, enabling higher production volumes and improved operational efficiency. At the same time, the investment in new machinery and equipment is expected to modernise production processes, increase precision, and reduce lead times. These upgrades will allow the company to better serve its customers with faster turnaround and consistent quality.

By expanding across its two locations in Saginaw, the company is also focusing on optimising workflow integration and resource utilisation. This approach ensures that both facilities can operate more effectively in tandem, supporting a broader range of manufacturing requirements and improving overall productivity.

The move comes at a time when demand for precision sheet metal and enclosure solutions is growing, driven by advancements in automation, data infrastructure, and industrial systems. With industries such as robotics and data centres expanding rapidly, the need for durable and custom-engineered enclosures continues to rise.

Through this expansion, Saginaw Control & Engineering is positioning itself to capitalise on these opportunities while maintaining its reputation for quality and reliability. The investment not only strengthens its manufacturing capabilities but also underscores its long-term strategy of growth through innovation, capacity enhancement, and customer-focused solutions.

Overall, the project highlights the ongoing importance of investing in advanced manufacturing infrastructure to remain competitive in an evolving industrial landscape, while also contributing to regional economic development through job creation and industrial growth.
