Oxbo has inaugurated a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Bergen, consolidating its operations from its previous location in Byron. The new 200,000-square-foot site represents a significant investment in expanding production capabilities and strengthening the company’s position in the specialty agricultural equipment segment.

The facility is dedicated to the design and manufacture of harvesters tailored for specialty crops, including seed corn, sweet corn, green beans, and peas. These crops require highly specialised machinery, and the new plant has been designed to support advanced engineering and manufacturing processes that ensure precision, efficiency, and reliability in equipment production.

At the core of the new site is a fully integrated, laser-based fabrication centre, which enhances accuracy and throughput in component manufacturing. This is complemented by a combination of robotic and manual welding systems, allowing for both high-volume production and flexibility in handling complex assemblies. The facility also includes advanced powder and liquid finishing systems, ensuring high-quality surface treatments and durability of finished equipment.

Oxbo has incorporated multiple mixed-model assembly lines within the plant, enabling the simultaneous production of different machine variants. This approach improves operational flexibility and allows the company to respond more effectively to varying customer demands. By streamlining production workflows and integrating advanced technologies, the facility is positioned to deliver higher productivity and consistent product quality.

Beyond manufacturing, the new site serves as a comprehensive hub for customer engagement and workforce development. It features a large product showroom where customers and dealers can explore the company’s equipment portfolio, as well as an outdoor test track that allows for real-world demonstrations and performance validation. These facilities provide valuable opportunities for hands-on training, technical education, and product evaluation.

The Bergen facility will house approximately 250 employees across manufacturing, engineering, training, and administrative functions. By bringing these capabilities under one roof, Oxbo aims to enhance collaboration, improve efficiency, and support innovation across its operations.

This expansion reflects Oxbo’s commitment to meeting the growing demand for specialised agricultural machinery while investing in modern manufacturing infrastructure. The new facility not only increases production capacity but also strengthens the company’s ability to deliver advanced, high-performance harvesting solutions to customers worldwide.
