Tigercat Expands Manufacturing Capacity in Ontario with Advanced Nicolás Correa Milling Technology
By Arthur Field
Tigercat Industries is strengthening its global manufacturing capability with a major investment at its newest facility in Ontario, Canada, where more than 300,000 square feet of production space is being brought to life with the installation of five large-scale milling machines from Nicolás Correa S.A.

The machines, supplied through Elliott Matsuura Canada Inc., are equipped with automation systems designed to support unmanned operation, enabling greater efficiency, productivity, and consistency across the manufacturing process.

The new installation forms part of Tigercat’s wider global manufacturing network, which spans 12 locations and supports the production of equipment shipped to more than 40 countries worldwide.
Beyond the scale of the investment, the project highlights the importance of collaboration in modern manufacturing. Tigercat, Nicolás Correa, and Elliott Matsuura have worked closely together throughout the process, creating a partnership focused on solving real shop floor challenges and delivering long term production performance.

Rather than operating as separate entities, the manufacturer, machine builder, and distributor have approached the project as an integrated team. This collaborative strategy allows the organisations to address technical challenges in real time, optimise manufacturing processes, and ensure the equipment delivers maximum value in production.
By prioritising long term relationships, shared expertise, and joint problem solving, Tigercat continues to strengthen its position as a globally competitive manufacturer.
