Hi-Tech Pipes Commences Commercial Production at Sikandrabad Unit-III, Reaches 1 MTPA Capacity!
Hi-Tech Pipes Limited has begun commercial production at its Sikandrabad Unit-III greenfield manufacturing facility in Uttar Pradesh, marking a significant milestone in the company’s ongoing capacity expansion strategy. The commissioning strengthens its manufacturing footprint in North and Central India while enhancing supply chain responsiveness across key industrial segments.
The Sikandrabad Unit-III facility improves proximity to major consumption centres, enabling faster deliveries and reduced logistics costs. The plant is positioned to support demand across infrastructure, construction, water distribution, fabrication and industrial applications, where consistent supply and regional access are critical.
With the addition of this unit, Hi-Tech Pipes Limited has achieved a total installed annual capacity of 1 million tonnes, supported by recently commissioned expansions at other locations. The Sikandrabad facility contributes 1,20,000 metric tonnes per annum (MTPA) and is focused on manufacturing ERW pipes and hollow sections. This addition enhances regional balance and provides greater operational flexibility across the company’s production network.
The plant is equipped with modern manufacturing technologies and advanced process controls designed to ensure consistent product quality, scalability and operational reliability. Beyond capacity expansion, the facility is expected to strengthen operating efficiency and margin resilience by improving cost structures and leveraging economies of scale.
Looking ahead, the company has outlined plans to add an additional 1 million tonnes of capacity over the medium term. This roadmap aligns with its objective of building a pan-India manufacturing platform with global competitiveness and a stronger focus on value-added steel products.
Chairman and Managing Director Ajay Kumar Bansal stated that the commissioning of the Sikandrabad facility reflects disciplined execution and long-term strategic planning. He noted that the plant supports the company’s increasing emphasis on high-demand and value-added steel segments, positioning Hi-Tech Pipes to capture growth opportunities in expanding infrastructure and industrial markets.
With the operationalisation of Unit-III, Hi-Tech Pipes advances its ambition to scale production capacity while enhancing efficiency, regional reach and competitiveness in India’s steel pipe and structural segment.
