HPE Appoints Sajan Paul as General Manager – India for Networking Business

Hewlett Packard Enterprise has appointed Sajan Paul as General Manager – India for HPE Networking, effective immediately. In this role, Paul will lead strategy, operations and business expansion for the company’s networking portfolio in India, with a focus on delivering intelligent and secure networking solutions that support enterprise digital transformation.

Paul brings nearly 30 years of experience across telecom and networking sectors. Prior to joining HPE, he served as Managing Director and Country Manager – India and SAARC at Juniper Networks, where he was responsible for regional strategy, revenue growth and sales execution. His career spans leadership roles across engineering and go-to-market functions, with extensive engagement across telecom service providers, large enterprises and public-sector organisations, including government, defence and education sectors.

Earlier in his career, Paul held senior leadership positions at Cisco Systems and also worked with Nortel and Avaya. His broad industry exposure is expected to strengthen HPE Networking’s market presence in India.

Mark Ablett, Vice President – Asia Pacific and Japan, HPE Networking, noted that as enterprises accelerate AI adoption, networking has become foundational to building scalable and resilient digital infrastructure. He stated that Paul’s leadership and market expertise will help deepen customer engagement and advance the company’s innovation roadmap in India.

Paul commented that he is joining HPE at a time when networking technologies are rapidly evolving to meet the demands of AI-driven infrastructure. He emphasized that his focus will be on helping customers modernize their networks with confidence by delivering secure, high-performance and increasingly self-managing networking solutions. He also highlighted the importance of working closely with ecosystem partners to support enterprise growth and long-term operational resilience.

With this appointment, HPE aims to further strengthen its networking business in India, aligning its portfolio with the growing demand for AI-ready, secure and scalable enterprise infrastructure solutions.
