Bartronics India Limited has appointed Dr Raja Krishna Murthy M as Head – Agri Tech Business, reinforcing its strategic push into agriculture and climate-focused initiatives. The appointment aligns with the company’s plans to expand Project Avio Agritech, an integrated platform designed to build scalable revenue streams across agricommerce, sustainable agriculture, digital advisory services and climate-linked solutions.

Project Avio Agritech aims to leverage Bartronics’ nationwide rural presence to develop structured agricultural value chains and climate-aligned opportunities. With a rural service network connecting approximately 40 million farmers across 5,000 villages, the company intends to convert its extensive reach into measurable productivity gains, market linkages and improved farm incomes.

Dr Raja holds a Ph.D. in Agribusiness Management and brings more than 21 years of experience spanning agribusiness transformation, climate-smart agriculture, ESG-linked initiatives and carbon market programmes. His professional background includes working with international and multilateral institutions such as UNICEF, World Bank, USAID, GIZ, IFAD, Asian Development Bank, DFID, UNIDO and the European Union. Through these roles, he has delivered large-scale programmes across Asia, Africa and Latin America.

His work has directly impacted more than 2.8 lakh farmers, with broader programme exposure reaching over one million farmers globally. Dr Raja has also led carbon and methane reduction projects aligned with internationally recognised standards, positioning him well to support Bartronics’ ambitions in climate-linked agricultural solutions.

Bartronics’ agriculture and climate strategy centers on integrating technology, advisory services and sustainable practices to create commercially viable models for rural communities. Project Avio Agritech is structured to support climate-resilient farming, ESG compliance and carbon market participation while enabling farmers to access improved supply chains and income opportunities.

Commenting on the appointment, Managing Director Vidhya Sagar Reddy stated that agri-tech and climate platforms represent long-term growth areas for the company and that Dr Raja’s experience enhances both strategic direction and execution capability. Dr Raja indicated that his priority will be building commercially sustainable, globally aligned agriculture and climate programmes that deliver measurable results for farmers, partners and stakeholders.

With this leadership addition, Bartronics India is positioning itself to expand its footprint in the agri-tech and climate solutions space, combining digital reach with sustainable development objectives to create scalable impact in India’s rural economy.
