Digital transformation features prominently at this year’s event, with Tecman showcasing how Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central can unify manufacturing and distribution data within a single ERP platform. On stand J200, Thame Workholding will showcase its Samchully JBM/JBH Jaw Boring Open Centre Hydraulic Chuck, the world’s first power chuck with a built-in boring ring. This enables machinists to bore soft jaws using only a standard Allen wrench, eliminating conventional boring rings, reducing set-up time by up to 90% and extending jaw life thanks to its ultra-fine 0.1mm adjustment capability. This is one of several innovations highlighted in Southern Manufacturing & Electronics’ Innovations Gallery for 2026.
The gallery also features Silclear’s re-Sil, a groundbreaking recycled silicone material developed to reduce industrial waste and support more sustainable component production. Originally created to repurpose the organisation’s own silicone scrap, re-Sil now offers manufacturers a compelling route to address the sector’s broader waste challenge.
