Atlas Copco Group Opens State-of-the-Art Manufacturing Facility in Pune!

Atlas Copco Group has officially launched its cutting-edge manufacturing facility in Talegaon, Pune, covering approximately 270,000 square feet. This advanced plant is dedicated to producing a wide range of high-performance products, including air and gas compressors, such as CNG (compressed natural gas), biogas, hydrogen compressors, air dryers, nitrogen and oxygen generators, and medical filtration systems. The facility, first announced in 2023, emphasizes the Group’s commitment to providing innovative and tailored solutions to meet the growing demands of the Indian market.

Built with Industry 4.0 principles in mind, the facility integrates smart manufacturing and sustainability initiatives. A key feature of the plant is its 1.3 MW rooftop solar installation, which will supply approximately 80% of its operational energy, alongside grid power. The facility also includes advanced cooling systems and rainwater harvesting systems, ensuring operational efficiency while minimizing environmental impact.

The new facility places a strong emphasis on research and development, enabling Atlas Copco to support product innovation and rigorous testing. With certifications in ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 50001, the facility demonstrates the company’s commitment to quality, safety, environmental sustainability, and energy management. Additionally, internal audits, quality management systems, and Six Sigma methodologies are employed to maintain operational excellence.
