Increased capacity for this gear cutting and subcontract machining company?

How do you stay competitive when you’re trying to grow the subcontract machining side of the business? We’re here to find out from Gary Mills of DMG MORI UK and Calum Baines and Michael Pecsi-Spence of Hopwood Gear.

Hopwood Gear were struggling with old equipment, so they went for four new DMG MORI machines – two CLX 450 lathes, an M2 milling machine, and the CMX 70U. The result? They’ve improved efficiency through minimised setups, easy programming, and five-side machining of a component in one hit!

Tune in with Lyndsey Vickers of MTDCNC to find out how Hopwood Gear are keeping the spindles running and maintaining their strength in the market with a continuous investment in people, infrastructure, and machines.
