We recently were happy to come to the aid of a Mazak SQT250MSY user S.J.B Precision. James approached us with an urgent part they needed to manufacture on their lathe. Needing the ability to produce an angled feature on their standard lathe with milling and Y axis capability. Producing a Mazatrol program with an ISO sub-program for the finishing stepover using MazaCAM CAD/CAM was the quick and easy solution.
James Haines: – “I approached MazaCAM for some help in programming a part which would require a ball nosing process on a driven tool Mazak Lathe, as we do not have any CADCAM software for Mazatrol programming. I forwarded the 3D model over to Mark who was happy to assist us in producing a program. We loaded it into the machine and ran the program, which ran perfectly well. This helped us as we do not receive very much in the way of 3D machining and it is not cost effective for us, at the moment, to purchase the software. With Mark’s speedy and reliable service, we will be sure to approach him again for any future requirements.”
