Leicester based Coba International has expanded its company portfolio with the acquisition of injection moulding business CD Plastic Mouldings. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. CD Plastic Mouldings, also based in Leicester, will now trade under the name of Coba Plastics Moulding. The day-to-day running of the business remains unchanged and the company will continue to operate out of its existing Scudamore Road facility, as it has done for the last 19 years. All 60 of its staff, including its management, are now employed by Coba Plastics Moulding. CD Plastic Mouldings supplies injection moulded products to a range of sectors including automotive, fire and security. The company had previously been owned by The Concept Group. Coba International chief executive Mark Cooke, said: “The company, with its injection moulding capability, is the perfect strategic fit for our Coba International group. “Like Coba, it is privately owned, based in Leicester and enjoys an excellent reputation within its field.”
