Nicolas Correa are showcasing their new innovative designed BM-180 boring bar at AMB 2022 in Germany. As Correa’s Javier Garcia Lopez shows Gio from MTDCNC, the BM-180 boring bar features a diameter of 180 mm with a W travel of 1,000 mm. On top of that, all heads including the boring bar BM-180 can be changed automatically in the head changer system providing maximum flexibility & productivity. The patented design provides maximum stiffness & reliability. The boring bar rotates by using a direct drive inline spindle motor mechanical transmission, avoiding the use of a gearbox, pulleys or belts. Big boring bars for big machining from Nicolas Correa.
