The new VOLLMER CSF 860 offers advanced capabilities for all your grinding needs

Eric Hulen and Lloyd Dille discuss the new VOLLMER CSF 860, a grinding machine that’s replacing the CHF 270. The machine is capable of handling a diameter up to 860mm. It comes with an addition of three measuring systems: the cube system for auto compensation of wheels, probing system to measure all angles, and a microphone pickup that positions the wheels. The grinding optimization software on the machine delivers 24% more productivity time. With absolute linear drive motors, there’s no more referencing, and absolute encoders allow users to put in warning signs for when the wheels are close to being replaced. The modular machine also has an option for robot entry, allowing either a 3-station, 5-station or 7-station stack. VOLLMER’s machines are communication-enabled with an IoT gateway fitted as standard.
