Making engineering appealing and the secrets to a successful manufacturing company

Paul chats with Rob Bennett from Scot Bennett Engineering in Northamptonshire. We find out about the history of the company and the individuals behind the company which make it tick. 

We also discuss how we need to make engineering appealing to younger generations to nurture the engineer of tomorrow and how the company has remained successful in tumultuous times.

Rob started out as a navy engineer where he took on a 5-year apprenticeship and tended to nuclear submarines from there he went into his family’s engineering business in the early ’90s which was during an economic recession. Rob also talks about his strengths of the company, which has made them resilient through harsh economic times through their company ethos and values.
