QAD has bolstered our cloud offerings with new adaptive manufacturing and supply chain capabilities that enhance user productivity and support informed and intelligent decision-making.

Enhancement Highlights

For QAD Adaptive ERP and QAD Adaptive Applications, the latest enhancements help companies with manufacturing operations and complex supply chains rapidly adapt to change and innovate for competitive advantage. Enhancements include:

Effective Enterprise Management

Effective Enterprise Management enables companies to streamline their essential enterprise processes and adapt to changing business needs. This includes integrating multi-currency, multi-GAAP, and multi-entity financials, implementing best practice purchasing, and utilizing real-time data and flexible analytics. Enhancements include:

  • QAD Financials boosts General Ledger Transaction Security with significantly enhanced transaction control for our customers, reducing errors in financial reporting and improving the accuracy of information. Based upon our recent acquisition of Livejourney,  new QAD Process Intelligence capabilities are available for AR/PR to reduce errors, improve cash flow and enhance customer and supplier relationships. QAD Process Intelligence also covers operational scenarios that ultimately improve finances, such as shipping and maintenance.
  • It is important to highlight QAD Internationalization as we continuously add new packages that address legal requirements or business practice variations around the world. Updates in the past few months address new requirements for Brazil, India, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, United States and other global regions.

Complete Customer Management

Complete Customer Management delivers an outstanding customer experience that builds a company’s brand and helps acquire and retain customers with the least effort and expense.

  • QAD Digital Commerce, based on our acquisition of WebJaguar, is now integrated with QAD Adaptive ERP. As a result, customers can digitally transform their B2B and B2C sales activities to conduct business online, improve customer satisfaction and acquire new customers.

Digital Manufacturing

Digital Manufacturing allows manufacturers to leverage digital and advanced technologies to better communicate, analyze and use real-time information to meet cost and quality objectives. In this area, enhancements include:

  • An uplifted user experience for co- and by-products across engineering, production and inventory capabilities to boost efficiency and help manufacturers succeed in today’s digital world.
  • QAD Production Execution continues to extend standard ERP production operations to the shop floor in real-time to better manage materials, labor, quality and production reporting. It provides the production insights needed to rapidly respond to unplanned inventory shortages, equipment failures and productivity slowdowns.
  • With the recent acquisition of Redzone, QAD Redzone Connected Workforce joins the QAD Adaptive Applications portfolio. With real-time, social-mobile communication, QAD Redzone Connected Workforce connects and unifies frontline production team members across departments to create ‘one team’ working with purpose. Manufacturers benefit from additional value creation achieved through enhanced workforce engagement, reduced staff turnover and increased productivity, thus delivering on the promise of digital transformation in manufacturing.
  • QAD EQMS (Enterprise Quality Management System) has made document collaboration easier by allowing collaboration in the draft state within Google Workspace. The benefit is a robust collaboration tool for developing new documents or changing documents. Additionally, rejection notes are now included to streamline the document reapproval process. Customers now have the ability to limit the corporate data visibility for users based on the division, site or other factor for both confidentiality and efficiency purposes. This provides your business more control over what a given employee can see, not only to protect the data, but also to reduce data distractions for the employee.

Integrated Supplier Management

Integrated Supplier Management creates value for manufacturers by improving supplier collaboration and supply chain visibility, allowing for faster response to changes in supply and demand. New enhancements are comprised of the following:

  • QAD SRM (Supplier Relationship Management) provides manufacturers and their suppliers a single point of entry to facilitate real-time communication, improve procurement processes and reduce inbound supply risks. With this release, an integration with QAD EQMS is available to feed QAD SRM supplier ratings with quality and logistics related data, strengthening supplier management decision-making. The solution has been updated to provide integration options with top Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) rating providers and supply chain risk providers. This allows companies to meet current and future regulatory requirements, such as those outlined in the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act.

Connected Supply Chain

Connected Supply Chain helps manufacturers effectively collaborate with supply chain partners and address the challenges associated with managing complex and ever-changing global supply chains. Enhancements include:

  • QAD Digital Supply Chain Planning (DSCP) is now available in the Amazon Web Services cloud making it more secure and easier to deploy and use. The solution provides ready-to-plan capabilities to standardize automated modeling from a custom design, reducing time to value and cost of ownership. With this latest release, customers gain access to further configuration options, covering more business cases tailored to industry or customer requirements to reduce the need for custom modeling and lower risk.
  • QAD Global Trade & Transportation Execution (GTTE) adds integration capabilities with QAD SRM to boost efficiency and cost of ownership. Additional import management trade content is now available for Brazil, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Mexico, Norway, Switzerland and Uruguay. QAD Foreign-Trade Zone (FTZ) adds direct filing capabilities with US Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) for “06” entry types and support for the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA).

QAD has worked closely with its customers and taken their feedback into account to develop many of these improvements. As a result, QAD Adaptive ERP 2023 enables companies to efficiently manage production and automate internal and external operations while effectively handling exceptions. Our supply chain capabilities provide business users across multiple industries with the visibility and execution capabilities needed to enhance supply chain resiliency.
