Wipro Ltd has partnered with FORVIA to enhance the capabilities of FORVIA’s Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Through the use of Wipro’s Cloud Car Solution, featuring microservices and a vehicle container architecture, the collaboration aims to improve the safety and comfort features of vehicles.
This partnership reduces the hardware dependency of FORVIA’s ADAS applications, which lowers maintenance costs and improves integration efficiency with car manufacturers. A major component of the collaboration is the development of FORVIA’s surround-view technology, which uses external cameras to create a 3D view, assisting drivers in safe parking.
The new microservice-based architecture offers flexibility, allowing FORVIA to provide ADAS features either individually or as combined solutions, cutting software development costs. This architecture also enables smoother integration with third-party solutions.
Graziella Neuvéglise of Wipro praised the success of the project, emphasizing their expertise in the software-defined vehicle space. Vanessa Picron of FORVIA noted the significance of microservices in making automotive features more competitive and easier to integrate, marking a successful collaboration between the two companies.
