Trac Precision Solutions Announces Strategic Investments to Boost Aero-Engine and Power Generation Manufacturing!

Trac Precision Solutions (Trac), a subsidiary of PTC Industries Group, has announced a significant wave of capital investments designed to elevate its role as a trusted global partner in the aerospace and industrial gas turbine (IGT) sectors. The initiative is centered on strengthening Trac’s capabilities in producing highly advanced turbine blades and vanes—components that form the backbone of high-performance aero-engines and power generation systems. By advancing its manufacturing infrastructure and closing long-standing technological gaps, Trac is positioning itself as a leader in precision engineering for next-generation propulsion and energy applications.

The investments are part of a broader long-term strategy to enhance capacity, precision, and expertise in complex manufacturing. Historically, access to specialized technologies—particularly those required for intricate cooling features and complex geometries in turbine components—has been limited. Trac is bridging this gap with the installation of world-class equipment, ensuring that it can meet the demanding requirements of global aerospace and power generation customers.

Central to this expansion is the addition of advanced EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) systems from Sodick. These high-performance machines bring unmatched accuracy, speed, and reliability to the production of blades and vanes, which are critical for both performance and durability in aero-engine and IGT applications. The new suite of systems includes high-volume precision EDM machines capable of delivering exceptional accuracy at scale, large-format systems tailored for the manufacture of complex and oversized aerospace and energy parts, and dedicated wire EDM systems for tooling and electrode production. Together, this technological arsenal significantly boosts Trac’s ability to produce intricate geometries and advanced cooling channels, enabling superior efficiency and thermal management in next-generation engines.

In addition to precision machining, Trac has implemented a Modula automated storage and retrieval system. This investment optimizes manufacturing space, streamlines material handling, and enhances traceability across operations. Such systems not only improve production flow but also support the company’s commitment to quality, consistency, and delivery reliability.

Commenting on the expansion, Liam Bevington, Managing Director of Trac Precision Solutions, noted: “By investing in world-class technology, we are strengthening our ability to deliver end-to-end solutions for some of the most advanced blade and vane applications. These capabilities support not only current programs but also the future generation of engine designs.” His statement highlights Trac’s dual focus on immediate performance gains and long-term competitiveness in advanced manufacturing.

Sachin Agarwal, Chairman and Managing Director of PTC Industries, reinforced the broader vision behind these investments, stating: “Our vision is to create a globally competitive ecosystem of advanced manufacturing. The investments at Trac reflect our commitment to self-reliance in high-precision technologies, while reinforcing PTC’s position as a strategic partner for next-generation aerospace and energy programs.”

These latest developments mark an important milestone in Trac’s evolution, solidifying its role as a highly capable organization ready to support both current and emerging aerospace and energy programs. By combining cutting-edge technology with engineering expertise, the company is laying the foundation for sustainable growth, global competitiveness, and long-term leadership in precision manufacturing.

PTC Industries, the parent group with a heritage spanning over six decades, is one of India’s leading producers of precision metal components for demanding applications. Through its subsidiary Aerolloy Technologies, PTC supplies titanium and superalloy castings to aerospace programs worldwide. The group continues to expand its advanced materials and manufacturing ecosystem with the Strategic Materials Technology Complex (SMTC), a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to aerospace-grade materials and foundry capabilities. With Trac’s new investments, PTC Industries strengthens its position as a global leader in delivering high-precision, high-performance solutions to critical industries.
