Tata Electronics has formed a strategic alliance with Taiwan’s Himax Technologies and Powerchip Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation (PSMC) to advance India’s display and ultralow power AI sensing technology sector. This collaboration combines Tata Electronics’ manufacturing expertise, Himax’s dominance in display semiconductors, and PSMC’s advanced fabrication technologies, aiming to provide end-to-end semiconductor solutions for both the Indian and global markets.
The partnership is designed to support India’s “Made in India” initiative and increase the resilience of global supply chains. By integrating their strengths, the companies will focus on developing next-generation display semiconductor and AI sensing solutions, positioning India as a leader in the global electronics sector.
Dr. Randhir Thakur, CEO of Tata Electronics, emphasized the partnership’s potential to drive innovation and create a strong supply chain for display semiconductors. Jordan Wu, CEO of Himax Technologies, expressed confidence in India’s growing role as a global electronics hub, while Martin Chu, President of PSMC, underlined the opportunity to expand their market reach and contribute to India’s semiconductor growth.
