Schaeffler Partners with VinDynamics to Accelerate Next-Gen Humanoid Robotics Development!

Schaeffler AG has entered into a strategic partnership with VinDynamics, a humanoid robotics venture within Vingroup, to advance the development of next-generation humanoid robots. The collaboration marks Schaeffler’s first such partnership in the Asia-Pacific region and strengthens its growing global footprint in the rapidly evolving robotics sector.

At the centre of the partnership is the development and supply of high-precision planetary gearboxes—critical components used in robotic actuator systems. These gearboxes serve as the mechanical core of humanoid robots, enabling controlled, efficient, and precise motion in joints and limbs. Their role is particularly crucial in replicating human-like movement, where accuracy, torque density, and responsiveness are essential.

By combining Schaeffler’s expertise in motion and drive systems with VinDynamics’ capabilities in humanoid robotics, the partnership aims to accelerate innovation and bring advanced robotic solutions closer to real-world deployment. Schaeffler brings decades of engineering experience and strong in-house manufacturing capabilities, while VinDynamics contributes a forward-looking vision and specialised knowledge in robotic system development.

Beyond hardware development, the collaboration will also focus on collecting and analysing robot performance and application data.
