Scania Strengthens India Presence with New Corporate Office in Bengaluru!
Scania Commercial Vehicles India has inaugurated a new corporate office in Bengaluru, marking a strategic step in expanding its footprint and enhancing customer engagement in the Indian market. The inauguration, attended by Jan Thesleff, highlights the company’s long-term commitment to India as a key growth market.
The new Bengaluru office is designed to serve as a central hub for operations, enabling faster decision-making, improved collaboration with customers and dealers, and stronger engagement with financial partners. This move aligns with Scania’s broader strategy of building a more responsive, efficient, and resilient business ecosystem tailored to evolving customer needs.
As part of its growth strategy, Scania has also introduced a white-label financing program in partnership with Axis Bank, aimed at making it easier for customers to invest in Scania trucks. This initiative complements the recent launch of the Scania Super platform and reflects the company’s focus on offering integrated solutions that combine product performance with accessible financing.
The Bengaluru office will play a critical role in attracting and developing talent, supporting innovation, and strengthening operational excellence. It also complements Scania’s existing Regional Product Centre in Narasapura, which continues to deliver end-to-end engineering and tailored solutions for Indian customers.
According to Jan Thesleff, the inauguration reflects strong confidence in India’s growth potential and underscores the deepening partnership between Sweden and India across trade, sustainability, and innovation. He noted that Scania’s focus on future-ready mobility solutions aligns with shared ambitions for industrial development.
Silvio Munhoz emphasised that India remains a strategically important market, with the new office enabling closer collaboration with customers and improved access to a skilled workforce. He added that the company aims to build a future-ready organisation capable of delivering faster and more effective solutions.
From a global perspective, Martin Stahlberg highlighted India’s importance in Scania’s long-term growth strategy, noting that the expansion strengthens the company’s ability to support customers and partners while building sustainable capabilities.
The office design reflects Scania’s Swedish work culture and sustainability principles, featuring collaborative workspaces, energy-efficient systems, and the use of recyclable materials. These elements align with the company’s broader focus on sustainable operations and responsible growth.
Overall, the new Bengaluru corporate office reinforces Scania’s commitment to the Indian market, combining operational expansion, financing innovation, and sustainability to support long-term growth in the commercial vehicle sector.
