PTC has announced the appointment of James (Jim) Lico, former President and CEO of Fortive Corporation, to its Board of Directors, effective October 13, 2025.
Lico, a seasoned industrial leader, brings over three decades of experience in global business management and technology-driven transformation. As Fortive’s founding CEO, he led the company’s strategic evolution following its 2016 spin-off from Danaher Corporation, growing Fortive into a focused portfolio with annual revenues exceeding $6 billion. He also oversaw the successful separation of the company’s Precision Technologies segment into Ralliant, a new independent entity.
Currently, Lico serves on the Board of DuPont de Nemours, Inc., contributing to its People and Compensation Committee and the Environment, Health, Safety & Sustainability Committee.
Commenting on the appointment, Neil Barua, President and CEO of PTC, said: “Jim brings decades of experience running global businesses and working closely with customers to transform their operations. His leadership and deep understanding of industrial technology make him an invaluable addition to our Board as we continue to grow and support our customers.”
Lico shared his enthusiasm for joining PTC, saying: “PTC is driving digital transformation for manufacturers and product companies through its Intelligent Product Lifecycle vision. I’m thrilled to join the Board and contribute to PTC’s mission of delivering innovation and creating shareholder value.”
Before Fortive, Lico held senior leadership roles at Danaher Corporation, where he led multiple global businesses across industrial technologies and test & measurement. He also held management positions at AlliedSignal and General Motors earlier in his career.
Lico will serve on PTC’s Corporate Governance Committee. Headquartered in Boston, PTC is a global software leader empowering over 30,000 customers worldwide to digitally transform how they design, manufacture, and service products. With a workforce of more than 7,000 employees, PTC continues to shape the future of industrial innovation through solutions like Creo, Windchill, ThingWorx, and Onshape.
