Memsift Innovations Launches Advanced Membrane Platforms for Industrial Water Recovery and Resource Efficiency!
Memsift Innovations has unveiled three advanced membrane technology platforms aimed at transforming industrial water treatment, ultra-pure water production, and resource recovery processes across global industries. The newly introduced systems — NUCLEX™, HYPER-X-RO™, and MISTIL-PURE™ — are designed to help industries tackle increasingly complex wastewater treatment and high-salinity processing challenges while supporting sustainable and circular manufacturing practices.
The launch represents a major development for Memsift Innovations as industries worldwide intensify efforts to improve water conservation, reduce carbon emissions, minimize waste generation, and recover valuable resources from industrial processes. According to the company, the newly developed platforms combine advanced membrane engineering, thermodynamic process design, and modular system architecture to deliver higher water recovery rates, improved process stability, and enhanced resource extraction capabilities.
The technologies are intended for industries such as semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, mining, energy, and advanced manufacturing, where growing environmental regulations and operational demands are increasing the need for efficient and high-recovery water management systems.
Dr. J Antony Prince, Founder and CEO of Memsift Innovations, stated that the future of industrial sustainability depends on how effectively industries manage water, energy, and waste as interconnected operational resources. He noted that the newly launched platforms are the result of years of scientific research and innovation in membrane engineering, thermodynamics, and resource recovery technologies.
Among the three newly launched systems, MISTIL-PURE™ has been developed as an advanced ultra-pure water production platform based on enhanced membrane distillation technology. The system is primarily designed for semiconductor fabrication facilities and AI-driven manufacturing operations where ultra-pure water quality is critical for production performance.
MISTIL-PURE™ operates using vapor-phase molecular separation, allowing only water vapor molecules to pass through specially engineered hydrophobic membranes. The system effectively rejects salts, metals, silica, nanoparticles, organics, endotoxins, and ionic contaminants with high efficiency. According to Memsift, the technology offers several operational advantages including improved contaminant rejection, stable ultra-pure water generation under varying feed conditions, reduced chemical consumption, lower resin exhaustion, and simplified downstream polishing systems. The platform is also compatible with low-grade heat recovery integration, contributing to improved energy efficiency.
The second platform, HYPER-X-RO™, has been engineered to address the limitations of conventional reverse osmosis systems when processing extremely high-salinity wastewater and industrial brines. The technology utilizes a high-pressure batch recirculation process that progressively concentrates dissolved salts and contaminants while continuously recovering purified water.
Memsift stated that HYPER-X-RO™ enables stable operation under ultra-high salinity conditions while achieving higher water recovery and lower specific energy consumption compared to traditional reverse osmosis systems. The technology also helps reduce residual brine volumes and improves compatibility with downstream crystallization processes, making it suitable for industries handling highly concentrated industrial waste streams.
The third platform, NUCLEX™, combines membrane distillation and controlled crystallization within a single integrated process architecture for hypersaline wastewater treatment and resource recovery applications. Unlike conventional thermal crystallizers, the system uses vapor-phase separation to recover reusable water while simultaneously extracting high-purity salts and engineered crystalline materials from industrial wastewater streams.
According to the company, NUCLEX™ can process ultra-high salinity brines beyond the operating range of conventional reverse osmosis systems while minimizing membrane scaling and fouling issues. Its modular and compact design also enables easier integration into Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) facilities, supporting industries seeking to eliminate wastewater discharge and maximize resource recovery.
Chris O’Connor, CFO and COO of Memsift Innovations, said the launch strengthens the company’s position in the industrial water treatment and resource recovery market. He added that the technologies are designed to operate as a fully integrated platform covering pretreatment, concentration, ultra-pure water production, and resource extraction, helping industries improve recovery efficiency while reducing emissions and minimizing liquid waste.
With the introduction of NUCLEX™, HYPER-X-RO™, and MISTIL-PURE™, Memsift Innovations aims to support the global shift toward more sustainable industrial operations by enabling advanced water reuse, reduced waste generation, and improved resource circularity across high-demand manufacturing sectors.
