Mazak Showcases High-Performance Machining Solutions at PRI 2025!
Mazak has unveiled two advanced automation-ready machine tools at the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) 2025 show, reinforcing its commitment to delivering precision, speed and reliability for the motorsports manufacturing sector. The company showcased the QTE-200MSY CNC Turning Center and the SYNCREX 38/8 Swiss-type turning machine—both engineered to meet the demanding production needs of racing teams and performance component manufacturers.
Dan Janka, President of Mazak, highlighted the company’s deep-rooted partnership with the racing industry, noting that Mazak continues to empower teams and suppliers with cutting-edge machining technologies. He emphasized that the systems displayed at PRI are designed to push boundaries in part accuracy, efficiency and throughput, enabling race-focused manufacturers to stay competitive in a high-pressure environment.
The QTE-200MSY CNC Turning Center is built for fast-turnaround, high-precision part production. Featuring a 20 hp, 5,000 rpm spindle, a second spindle for DONE-IN-ONE® machining and a 12-station turret, the machine provides robust turning, milling and multi-tasking capabilities. Linear guides on all axes enhance precision over long production runs, while the belt-free spindle design minimizes vibration and maintenance needs. Powered by the MAZATROL SmoothEz CNC, it supports both conversational and G-code programming, along with automatic tool presetting to streamline setup and inspection workflows.
Alongside it, Mazak presented the SYNCREX 38/8, a Swiss-type turning machine developed for small, high-volume components requiring tight tolerances. Its rigid base construction reduces vibration and thermal drift, enabling superior surface finishes and long tool life. With an 8-axis configuration, capacity for up to 36 tools and a convertible guide-bushing system, the SYNCREX 38/8 offers rapid setup changes and efficient machining of both long and short parts. The SmoothSt CNC, with a full mechanical keyboard, enhances operator control, while options such as Mazak Swiss Setup Assist and Dynamic Chip Control further elevate productivity.
With these latest innovations, Mazak continues to strengthen its position as a leading technology partner for the motorsports industry, delivering solutions that accelerate component production and ensure the precision needed for peak performance on the track.
