Mastercam, a global leader in CAD/CAM software and part of the Sandvik Group, has announced the acquisition of key assets from QTE Manufacturing Solutions, one of its long-standing partners with nearly four decades of experience in the manufacturing technology sector. This strategic move enhances Mastercam’s direct presence across the Midwestern United States, significantly expanding its regional support and customer service capabilities.
Through this acquisition, Mastercam will integrate QTE’s extensive regional expertise, established customer relationships, and robust service infrastructure into its own operations. The expansion will improve localized support for manufacturers across Missouri, Kansas, Tennessee, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Southern Illinois — enabling faster response times, better training programs, and more personalized technical assistance.
Founded in 1985 and based in St. Charles, Missouri, QTE Manufacturing Solutions began as a tool and fixture design firm catering to the aerospace industry before evolving into a top-tier provider of CAD/CAM solutions. Over the years, QTE has been recognized as a high-performing Mastercam Channel Partner and certified training center, serving clients across aerospace, automotive, and general manufacturing sectors.
“This acquisition marks a significant milestone in how we engage with and support our customers,” said Russ Bukowski, President of Mastercam. “By integrating QTE’s strong local presence and deep technical knowledge directly into our operations, we’re able to deliver even faster, more responsive support to manufacturers in the Midwest. This direct engagement model strengthens our ability to provide solutions precisely aligned with regional manufacturing needs.”
With this transition from a channel partner model to a direct operations structure, Mastercam customers in the Midwest will benefit from immediate access to technical expertise, quicker issue resolution, and customized training led by specialists familiar with local manufacturing practices. The acquisition underscores Mastercam’s ongoing commitment to providing superior customer service, ensuring that its users receive the highest level of support as they adopt advanced manufacturing technologies.
