Marposs Inaugurates Advanced Tech Center in Bangalore to Enhance India’s Manufacturing Landscape!

Marposs, a global leader in precision measurement and quality control solutions, has officially opened a state-of-the-art 400-square-meter facility in Bangalore, India. The new Tech Center, which includes offices and a dedicated space for advanced technology development, is a strategic move to strengthen Marposs’ commitment to the Indian market. By bringing cutting-edge solutions closer to local customers, the center will enable the company to offer customized solutions that cater to India’s growing manufacturing sector, particularly in emerging industries such as semiconductors, electric vehicles (EVs), and aerospace.

The grand opening event was attended by key figures, including Shobha Karandlaje, Union Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Labour & Employment, representing Bengaluru North, Karnataka, and various other prominent personalities from both Indian and Italian institutions. This event marks a significant milestone in Marposs’ journey in India, highlighting the company’s deepening ties with the country’s industrial ecosystem.

Marposs’ presence in India dates back to 1981, and the company has since expanded its operations, including establishing a direct branch in Delhi in 2007 and opening additional offices in major industrial hubs such as Manesar, Ahmedabad, Chennai, and Pune. With a workforce of 120 employees and an expected turnover of 20 million euros by the end of 2024, Marposs has solidified its position as a key player in India’s manufacturing sector. The automotive industry remains Marposs’ largest market, but the company is focusing on diversifying into emerging sectors such as semiconductors, consumer electronics, and electric vehicle batteries, which are expected to play a critical role in its growth strategy over the next five years.

Francesco Possati, General Manager and Vice President of Marposs Headquarters, expressed confidence in India’s manufacturing potential, particularly in sectors like semiconductors, e-mobility, and space. The new tech center, one of only two globally (the other located in California), will focus on R&D activities for high-demand industries, including leak testing for EV batteries, advanced quality control technologies for aerospace, and precision measurements for consumer electronics. This move aligns with Marposs’ global commitment to developing reliable and secure value chains in these high-tech industries.

The new facility underscores Marposs’ ongoing efforts to innovate and provide advanced measurement and control solutions to manufacturers in India and around the world. By offering state-of-the-art solutions for industries facing stringent regulatory requirements, Marposs continues to help businesses optimize their production processes and maintain global competitiveness. With its deep expertise and vast network across India, Marposs is poised to lead the charge in India’s transition to advanced manufacturing and digitalization.
