Ingersoll Rand (India) Ltd has taken a major step toward strengthening its presence in India’s manufacturing landscape with the inauguration of its new advanced manufacturing facility in Sanand, Gujarat. This marks one of the company’s most significant investments in the country, reinforcing its long-term commitment to the Indian market. The facility, which will have an annual production capacity of over 24,000 units, is set to begin operations by the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2025.

This state-of-the-art facility embodies Ingersoll Rand’s vision of integrating technology, innovation, and sustainability to deliver precision-engineered solutions for global and domestic customers. Aligned with the Indian government’s “Make in India” initiative, the new plant is designed to enhance production capabilities while supporting energy efficiency, operational reliability, and environmental responsibility. Designed with a focus on sustainability, the facility integrates 100 percent green power, zero-liquid discharge, rainwater harvesting, wastewater recycling, organic composting, and acoustic enclosures. These features underscore Ingersoll Rand’s dedication to responsible manufacturing and environmental stewardship.

In addition to its sustainable design, the facility incorporates several advanced technologies that align with the principles of Industry 4.0. It features IoT-enabled monitoring systems, AI-driven predictive maintenance, and digital tools such as the System Performance Manager powered by Ecoplant and Helix, all aimed at optimizing production and maintenance processes. These innovations not only enhance efficiency and reliability but also foster local innovation and customization for diverse customer needs.

Beyond manufacturing, the new plant is expected to generate significant employment opportunities for local talent.
