Greaves Electric Mobility Partners with Indofast Energy for Revolutionary Battery Swapping Solutions!

Greaves Electric Mobility Limited (GEML), a part of Greaves Cotton Limited (GCL), has formed a strategic partnership with Indofast Energy, a joint venture between Indian Oil and SUN Mobility, to advance last-mile electric mobility solutions. This collaboration is focused on enhancing B2B fleets and ride-sharing services by integrating electric two-wheelers (e-2W) with energy-efficient solutions, addressing the evolving needs of the sector.

At the core of this partnership is the introduction of the Ampere Magnus SW.S, an electric scooter equipped with Indofast Energy’s innovative battery-swapping technology. Designed specifically for gig economy riders who cover over 100 kilometers daily, the scooter allows riders to swap depleted batteries for fully charged ones at Indofast’s expanding network of swapping stations. This approach is intended to reduce vehicle downtime, lower operational costs, and improve overall efficiency, while promoting sustainable mobility—a key objective for both GEML and Indofast Energy.

The Ampere Magnus SW.S is powered by a 2.4 kW motor, making it capable of handling steep inclines and carrying heavy loads, including a pillion rider. With a payload capacity of 151 kg, it is built to meet the demands of heavy-duty use. Additionally, the scooter incorporates IoT-enabled technology, which enhances connectivity and supports effective fleet management.

Looking ahead, the partnership aims to deploy over 50,000 vehicles in the coming year through fleet operators and individual drivers. The Ampere Magnus SW.S will be made available through Ampere’s distribution network, catering to both commercial fleets and gig economy workers. This collaboration strengthens Greaves Electric Mobility’s position in the electric transportation sector by offering solutions that combine performance with environmental sustainability.
