Gensol Engineering and Matrix Gas to Develop India’s First Biomass Green Hydrogen Project, Valued at INR 164 Crore!

Gensol Engineering Limited, a prominent player in solar EPC and electric mobility, in collaboration with Matrix Gas & Renewables Ltd., has secured the bid for India’s first Bio-Hydrogen project. This landmark project will convert 25 tons of bio-waste into 1 ton of green hydrogen per day and is valued at INR 164 Crore. The project, expected to be completed within 18 months, is aligned with India’s National Green Hydrogen Mission.

In partnership with Westinghouse, USA, which brings its patented Plasma Induced Radiant Energy-Based Gasification System (GH2-PREGS) technology, the Gensol-Matrix consortium will lead the development of this groundbreaking green hydrogen infrastructure.

Anmol Singh Jaggi, Chairman and MD of Gensol Engineering Ltd., expressed pride in leading this pioneering project, which addresses environmental challenges and supports India’s energy transition. Chirag Kotecha, Director at Matrix Gas & Renewables Ltd., highlighted the significance of this project as a model for future initiatives in creating a holistic green hydrogen ecosystem.

This collaboration between Gensol and Matrix marks a significant step forward in the green hydrogen domain, with plans to extend their expertise to other green hydrogen derivatives, including Green Steel and Green Ammonia.
