Epic Energy Ltd. has announced a strategic partnership with Niva Ecotech Pvt Ltd. to establish a 35 MWp (25 MW) solar park in the Solapur region of Maharashtra. This initiative marks Epic Energy’s first venture under its subsidiary, Epic Renewable Projects Pvt Ltd, which is dedicated to expanding the company’s solar footprint across India.
Pranav Chhatre, Director of Epic Renewable Projects, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, highlighting that several ideal sites in and around Solapur have already been identified for the project. The company aims to achieve a total installed capacity of 140 MWp (100 MW) within the next two years.
Niva Ecotech, a seasoned player in the solar energy sector, has successfully completed multiple projects in Solapur over the past three years. Ajay Mundada, Director of Niva Ecotech, noted that the partnership with Epic will leverage their combined expertise to significantly contribute to India’s growing solar energy capacity.
Nikhil Morsawala, CFO of Epic Energy, explained that the company is in advanced discussions with several blue-chip corporations in India to establish solar energy plants under the Group Captive Open Access system at the proposed Solar Park in Solapur.
With over two decades of experience in energy conservation and green energy, Epic Energy Ltd. continues to strengthen its position in the Solar EPC market, while Niva Ecotech brings its extensive experience in rooftop solar installations, solar parks, and comprehensive EPC and maintenance services to the partnership.
