Dassault Systèmes has officially inaugurated its newly expanded research and development campus in Pune, Maharashtra, marking a significant milestone in the company’s ongoing commitment to innovation, sustainability, and long-term growth in India. The upgraded campus consolidates three decades of operations in the country and positions Pune as Dassault Systèmes’ largest operational hub in India, playing a pivotal role in its global innovation network.
The expansion reflects the company’s strategic focus on enhancing delivery capabilities, accelerating technology innovation, and strengthening support for its global customer base. Over the past five years, Dassault Systèmes has invested extensively in upgrading its Pune operations to meet the growing demand for cutting-edge engineering solutions and digital transformation services. The latest phase of development introduced a new building, named “EARTH,” which adds workspace for 2,400 employees, increasing the campus capacity from 4,700 to 7,100 personnel.
Deepak NG, Managing Director for India, highlighted that the expanded campus represents a new chapter in Dassault Systèmes’ India journey. He emphasized the facility’s role in fostering high-value employment and research opportunities while enabling stronger collaborations with industry partners, academic institutions, and startups. “India continues to be a strategic hub in Dassault Systèmes’ global research and service ecosystem. With this expansion, we aim to further our mission of driving innovation, enhancing sustainability, and supporting the development of future-ready technologies,” he said.
The upgraded Pune R&D campus will focus on emerging areas such as AI-driven generative design, virtual twin technologies, and advanced simulation solutions. These initiatives will empower industries in sectors ranging from aerospace and automotive to life sciences and infrastructure, helping them accelerate product development, optimize operational efficiency, and achieve sustainable growth. The campus is also designed to incorporate environmentally conscious practices, reflecting Dassault Systèmes’ broader commitment to sustainability across its global operations.
Beyond technological advancement, the expanded facility underscores the company’s focus on nurturing talent and innovation. By creating a collaborative environment for engineers, researchers, and digital experts, Dassault Systèmes aims to accelerate the development of next-generation solutions that address complex industrial challenges. The Pune campus is expected to act as a hub for knowledge exchange, experimentation, and innovation, linking local expertise with the company’s global R&D network.
With this expansion, Dassault Systèmes reinforces its position as a leader in digital transformation and innovation in India, leveraging cutting-edge research, sustainable practices, and a strong talent ecosystem to drive global competitiveness. The Pune campus is not just a workplace but a center for shaping the future of design, engineering, and sustainable technologies, supporting Dassault Systèmes’ vision of enabling a more innovative and resilient industrial landscape worldwide.
