Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV), a subsidiary of Daimler Truck AG, has appointed Michael Moebius as President and Chief Procurement & Supply Chain Officer. Moebius succeeds Muthu Maruthachalam C and brings over 30 years of global experience in the passenger and commercial vehicle industry.
Moebius, who previously served as Head of Quality Management at Daimler Truck Asia in Japan, has a proven track record in improving quality and introducing innovative solutions. Notable achievements include reducing warranty costs and implementing advanced data-driven systems like ‘Proactive Sensing’ for early failure detection. His career with Daimler, spanning roles in Brazil, Vietnam, Iran, India, and Japan, includes significant contributions to DICV’s quality standards and operational enhancements from 2010 to 2016.
Satyakam Arya, MD and CEO of DICV, commended Moebius for his deep understanding of operations and global expertise, which aligns with DICV’s strategic goals of fostering a flexible and competitive supply chain. Moebius expressed enthusiasm about advancing DICV’s long-term goals and driving procurement and innovation forward.
