Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) has entered into a strategic partnership with Gainwell Trucking Private Limited (GTPL), a part of the Gainwell Group, to enhance the sales and service of BharatBenz mining trucks in India. This collaboration is focused primarily on the high-performance 3532CM (8×4) model of BharatBenz, which will cater to the mining sector’s transportation needs, particularly in the major mining states across India, including North, East, Northeast, Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat.
The partnership aims to strengthen the presence of BharatBenz in the mining segment by leveraging Gainwell Trucking’s extensive experience and infrastructure. GTPL will act as an authorized channel partner for BharatBenz mining trucks, covering all aspects of sales, service, and after-sales support, including the maintenance of BharatBenz trucks in the mining sector, which include applications in industries such as iron ore, coal, and limestone.
After-sales service is a critical component of this strategic collaboration. The partnership ensures that BharatBenz customers receive comprehensive maintenance and repair services for their mining trucks. GTPL will provide preventive and scheduled maintenance programs, as well as on-site repairs and express service options. In addition, Gainwell Trucking will offer an extensive spare parts inventory, with strategically located distribution centers across major mining regions, ensuring faster service turnaround and minimizing vehicle downtime, which is crucial in the mining industry.
The BharatBenz 3532CM model is specifically designed to meet the rigorous demands of Indian mining conditions. This model is equipped with a powerful OM926 engine that delivers 236 kW (320 horsepower) @ 2,200 RPM and a peak torque of 1,250 Nm. It complies with the Bharat Stage VI – OBD-2 emission standards, making it a reliable and environmentally responsible choice for the mining sector. The 3532CM model comes with both manual and Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) transmission options, providing flexibility and high performance in demanding operational environments.
Rajiv Chaturvedi, President & Chief Business Officer at Daimler India Commercial Vehicles, emphasized the significance of the partnership with Gainwell Trucking. He mentioned that the partnership aims to meet the evolving needs of the mining industry and address infrastructure requirements. By joining forces with GTPL, BharatBenz aims to strengthen its ability to serve the customized needs of customers in the mining and infrastructure sectors.
Sunil Chaturvedi, Chairman & Managing Director of Gainwell Trucking, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating that the partnership would bring unmatched value to their customers. He emphasized that through this strategic collaboration, GTPL would provide exceptional service support for BharatBenz’s world-class commercial vehicles in the Indian mining sector.
