The inaugural CMES Indonesia International Machine Tool Exhibition is set to make its debut from July 2–4, 2026, at the Nusantara International Convention Exhibition (NICE) in Jakarta, marking a significant milestone in Southeast Asia’s manufacturing exhibition landscape. Organized by CMES, one of China’s largest and most influential exhibition organizers, the event aims to create a strategic platform connecting global machine tool manufacturers, industrial technology providers, and buyers with Indonesia’s rapidly expanding manufacturing sector.

The launch follows the strong success of CMES’s first exhibition in Vietnam in 2025 and reflects the organization’s broader strategy to strengthen its presence across Southeast Asia. With Indonesia emerging as one of the region’s most attractive manufacturing destinations, the exhibition is expected to attract leading technology suppliers, industry professionals, and decision-makers seeking opportunities in one of Asia’s fastest-growing industrial markets.

As Southeast Asia’s largest economy, Indonesia is undergoing a significant industrial transformation under the government’s “Making Indonesia 4.0” initiative. The program is focused on accelerating the adoption of advanced manufacturing technologies, automation, digitalization, and smart production systems to enhance the country’s global competitiveness.

One of the key developments driving this transformation is the shift from traditional manufacturing processes toward high-precision component production. Industries such as automotive, electronics, infrastructure, renewable energy, and consumer goods manufacturing are generating increasing demand for advanced machinery and production technologies. At the same time, Indonesia continues to rely heavily on imported machine tools and industrial equipment, with approximately 75 percent of high-end machinery sourced from international suppliers. This presents substantial opportunities for global manufacturers looking to establish a stronger presence in the country.

Against this backdrop, CMES Indonesia 2026 will serve as a major business platform designed to address the growing demand for industrial equipment, automation solutions, and smart manufacturing technologies. Spanning more than 15,000 square meters of exhibition space, the event will showcase a comprehensive range of products and technologies from leading global brands.

Exhibition categories will include metal cutting machine tools, metal forming equipment, machine tool accessories, grinding technologies, industrial automation systems, robotics, and intelligent manufacturing solutions. These technologies will cater to a wide range of downstream industries including automotive and motorcycle parts manufacturing, consumer electronics, household appliances, office equipment production, precision engineering, and general machinery manufacturing.

The exhibition is expected to play an important role in supporting Southeast Asia’s manufacturing modernization efforts by facilitating access to advanced production technologies and fostering business partnerships between international suppliers and regional manufacturers.

CMES brings more than two decades of exhibition expertise to the Indonesian market. With over 24 years of industry experience, the company has established itself as China’s largest private exhibition organizer by exhibition space. Annually, CMES manages more than 600,000 square meters of exhibition area and attracts over 600,000 professional buyers across its various events.

The success of the 2025 Vietnam edition demonstrated the organization’s ability to create meaningful business engagement opportunities. According to CMES, the Vietnam event generated over 600 million online media impressions, attracted more than 11,600 attendees, and facilitated over 30,000 business interactions between exhibitors and buyers. Building on this momentum, the company aims to deliver an even larger and more impactful event in Indonesia.

A key differentiator of CMES Indonesia 2026 is its integrated Online-to-Offline (O2O) exhibition and marketing strategy. The organizer plans to invest more than $7 million in promotional activities to maximize exhibitor visibility and attract qualified buyers from across the region.

The digital marketing campaign will leverage major global and Indonesian media platforms including Google, Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), Kompas, Bisnis Indonesia, Jawa Pos, Media Indonesia, and other influential channels. The strategy will combine content marketing, video campaigns, live streaming, digital advertising, and social media engagement to drive awareness and expand reach among manufacturing professionals and business leaders.

Complementing the digital effort, CMES will also implement extensive offline marketing initiatives across Jakarta and key industrial regions. Highway billboards, street banners, and promotional displays at transportation hubs will help generate visibility and build anticipation ahead of the exhibition.

To further enhance business outcomes, the event will incorporate intelligent data matching technologies designed to connect exhibitors with qualified buyers and decision-makers. By leveraging advanced analytics and targeted matchmaking systems, the platform aims to facilitate more meaningful business conversations and improve the efficiency of networking opportunities.

In addition to the exhibition itself, CMES Indonesia has established strategic partnerships with government agencies and leading industry associations in Indonesia. These collaborations will support the organization of high-level industry forums, manufacturing conferences, and international buyer matchmaking sessions, creating additional opportunities for knowledge sharing, investment discussions, and business development.

The inclusion of these activities reflects the growing importance of Indonesia within the global manufacturing landscape. As international companies increasingly seek alternative production locations and supply chain diversification strategies, Indonesia is positioning itself as a key destination for manufacturing investment and industrial expansion.

For exhibitors, CMES Indonesia 2026 offers access to a rapidly growing market characterized by strong industrial development, increasing technology adoption, and substantial infrastructure investment. For buyers and manufacturers, the event provides an opportunity to explore the latest innovations in machine tools, automation, robotics, and advanced manufacturing solutions that can help improve productivity, efficiency, and competitiveness.

As Southeast Asia continues to emerge as a major manufacturing hub, the debut of CMES Indonesia represents an important addition to the region’s industrial exhibition calendar. By bringing together global technology leaders, local manufacturers, policymakers, and industry stakeholders, the event aims to support Indonesia’s industrial modernization journey while creating new opportunities for collaboration, investment, and technological advancement across the broader Asia-Pacific manufacturing ecosystem.
