ChargePoint, a global leader in EV charging solutions, has partnered with HCLTech, a leading technology services provider, to establish an advanced research and development center in Bengaluru, India. This strategic collaboration is aimed at enhancing ChargePoint’s software development capabilities, enabling scalable and customizable EV charging solutions that will accelerate innovation in the electric mobility sector.
The new R&D facility, inaugurated today by leaders from both companies, will serve as a key innovation hub for ChargePoint’s software initiatives in India. By leveraging HCLTech’s deep engineering expertise and agile, product-driven approach, the center will support the development of cutting-edge software solutions tailored to meet the evolving demands of the global EV industry.
Rick Wilmer, CEO of ChargePoint, highlighted the significance of this initiative, stating:
