Bisleri and Schneider Electric Collaborate to Boost Solar Power at Bisleri Plants!

Bisleri International Pvt Ltd has teamed up with Schneider Electric’s Sustainability Business to improve energy efficiency and enhance the use of renewable energy across its manufacturing plants. This partnership is a pivotal part of Bisleri’s Greener Promise, which underscores the company’s ongoing commitment to sustainability. As part of this collaboration, Bisleri will install up to 13.6 MW of solar power across six major plants in Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Uttar Pradesh.

The move aims to increase Bisleri’s green energy usage to nearly 33%, boosting the overall renewable energy output by improving energy efficiency by 2.5%. This initiative is expected to cut down approximately 16,000 tons of carbon emissions per year, significantly advancing Bisleri’s environmental goals.

Angelo George, CEO of Bisleri International, highlighted that the project is integral to the company’s long-term sustainability vision, helping to reduce its environmental footprint while providing economic benefits through the adoption of renewable energy.

Deepak Sharma, Zone President of Greater India, MD & CEO of Schneider Electric India, emphasized that their company’s commitment to enabling businesses to reduce their environmental impact through smarter and cleaner energy solutions is a key driver for such collaborations. The installation of solar modules marks another milestone in Bisleri’s journey toward becoming a “Green Yodha,” contributing to a sustainable future.

This partnership builds on Bisleri’s previous sustainability initiatives, including the deployment of rooftop solar panels that currently generate 2.5% of its energy from renewable sources. Additionally, the first phase of their PET bottle lightweighting project has helped reduce 15,000 tons of CO2 emissions annually.

Together, these efforts contribute to Bisleri’s commitment to sustainability, which encompasses recycling plastic, water conservation, and replenishing natural resources—core elements of Bisleri’s Greener Promise.
