Biele Group Expands Presence in Central Europe with Acquisition of KBD Automation

Biele Group, a leading provider of turnkey projects for the automation of production plants, has acquired a majority stake in KBD Automation GmbH, a German company based in Cologne, known for its expertise in engineering automated packaging lines. This acquisition is part of Biele Group’s strategic expansion plan to strengthen its presence in the Central European market and enhance its portfolio of advanced solutions for key manufacturing sectors.

KBD Automation, now integrated into the Biele Group, has an established reputation for designing automated packaging solutions that improve production efficiency and precision. The addition of KBD Automation to Biele Group’s structure will allow the Spanish company to offer more direct and agile service to its Central European customers while gaining closer access to local suppliers in a strategically important industrial region.

Biele Group, which employs over 350 people and operates in multiple locations, including Azpeitia and San Sebastián in Gipuzkoa, Navarrete in La Rioja, Atlanta (USA), and Kunshan (China), was advised by Agem Consultores Russell Bedford on the legal and financial aspects of the transaction. With this acquisition, Biele Group strengthens its technical capabilities and increases its capacity to undertake complex engineering projects, particularly in response to the growing needs of the automotive industry.
