Basic Metals Expands Capacity with 42,000-Sq.-Ft. Facility and HQ Consolidation!
Basic Metals Inc. has announced a major expansion plan aimed at consolidating operations and increasing manufacturing capacity at its Germantown, Wisconsin location. The move reflects the company’s continued growth and its commitment to serving a diverse range of industrial markets more efficiently.
As part of the expansion, Basic Metals has acquired adjacent property, enabling it to bring multiple operations together into a more streamlined and integrated setup. A key component of the project involves relocating its corporate headquarters into a 12,000-square-foot office building on the newly acquired site. This facility will undergo a full renovation to support administrative, sales, and customer support functions, creating a more cohesive operational structure.
In addition to the office upgrade, the company plans to construct a new 42,000-square-foot manufacturing facility. Once completed, the expansion will increase Basic Metals’ total operational footprint to over 120,000 square feet, significantly enhancing its production capabilities and capacity to meet growing customer demand.
Construction of the new facility is scheduled to begin in the summer of 2026, with completion expected by early 2027. The expanded infrastructure is expected to improve workflow efficiency, optimise material handling, and support future business growth across key sectors.
Basic Metals serves a wide range of industries, supplying aluminum, stainless steel, and carbon steel products. Its offerings include cut-to-length sheet, slit coil, and laser-cut components, catering to customers in sectors such as power generation, appliance manufacturing, HVAC, truck and trailer, marine, defense, and automotive.
