Azad Engineering Inaugurates Exclusive Lean Manufacturing Facility for Mitsubishi Heavy Industries!

Azad Engineering has proudly inaugurated its exclusive Lean Manufacturing Facility for Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) at Tunikibollaram, Hyderabad. The new facility spans 7,200 square meters and represents a significant development in Azad’s decade-long partnership with MHI. Over the years, what started as a small setup with a few machines has now transformed into a world-class manufacturing center, reflecting both companies’ shared dedication to excellence.

The facility was officially launched with the presence of distinguished guests, including Masahito Kataoka, Senior Vice President of the GTCC Business Division, Energy Systems at MHI Japan, and Jayesh Ranjan, Special Chief Secretary of Industries & Commerce and Information Technology from the Government of Telangana, among others. Also present was Rakesh Chopdar, Chairman and CEO of Azad Engineering.

The key highlights of this facility include its cutting-edge technology and the creation of over 200 skilled job positions. As the facility expands its capabilities, it is expected to create even more employment opportunities in the region. The advanced manufacturing setup ensures the production of high-precision components, maintaining the highest global standards of quality. Additionally, the facility integrates seamlessly with Azad Engineering’s Centre for Excellence and Innovation, further driving its commitment to continuous improvement and technological advancement.

Azad Engineering is also proud to be the only qualified supplier-partner for MHI’s airfoils in India, underlining the company’s ability to meet international manufacturing standards. This achievement comes shortly after Azad Engineering was named the “2024 Partner of the Year” by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries’ GTCC Business Division, a prestigious recognition given to only one supplier out of MHI’s extensive global network of over 1,000 suppliers.
