Star’s Matt Lee talks us through the SR-32JIII Type B machine, new at MACH 2022. This machine comes with 8 tools, a “Y” Axis and 3KW of live tooling power on the main platen with power tools giving greater milling capacity on any type of material on complex parts. Star’s new oscillating chip breaking solution SCP (Step Cycle Pro) improves on their old system with no effect on cycle time, ensuring trouble free lights out running. As part of the cell on the Star stand is an off line automated measuring solution built in conjunction with Fanuc & Renishaw that can be used during lights out running.
