The Chiron Group proudly presents the Micro5, an advanced five-axis machining center tailored for high-precision micro-technical applications, including the production of medical devices, watch components, jewelry, and small electronics. The Micro5 boasts an impressive 5:1 machine-to-workpiece ratio, making it five times lighter than traditional larger machines and delivering a 50-fold reduction in energy consumption. Its compact and versatile design facilitates quick setups, making it an ideal choice for industries where space and efficiency are paramount.
Equipped with a high-performance milling spindle, the Micro5 significantly reduces machining time, offering rapid tool changes in under five seconds. The machine’s rigid structure ensures exceptional precision and optimal surface quality, all while operating at a highly energy-efficient 500 watts. Notably, the Micro5 maintains noise levels below 50 decibels, contributing to a quieter and more comfortable working environment.
To complement the Micro5, the Chiron Group introduces the Feed5, a six-axis handling robot specifically designed to enhance the Micro5’s capabilities. The Feed5 automation system efficiently loads and unloads two Micro5 centers simultaneously, enabling seamless integration into larger series production lines through its modular plug-and-play concept. This addition significantly boosts autonomy and productivity in large-scale manufacturing operations.
With a maximum workpiece size of 50 × 50 × 50 mm (L × W × H), the Micro5 is engineered to deliver unparalleled performance in the most demanding micro-machining applications. The Chiron Group continues to innovate, offering solutions that redefine precision and efficiency in micro-technical manufacturing.
