Precision Engineering CNC Doubles Production Output Following Strategic Investment in Hurco Technology
By Clinton Perry
MTDCNC recently travelled to Weymouth on England’s south coast to visit Precision Engineering CNC Ltd, where Clinton Perry met with Managing Director Ryan Hanger to learn how a bold investment strategy has transformed the company’s machining capability.

Facing the challenge of managing multiple CNC platforms, Precision Engineering CNC made the strategic decision to simplify its production by replacing seven different machine platforms with three Hurco VM30i machining centres supplied by Hurco Europe.
The result has been a significant increase in productivity, with the company doubling its production output while benefiting from greater consistency, simplified programming and improved operational efficiency. The success of the initial investment has since led to further expansion of the company’s Hurco machine fleet.

During the visit, the MTDCNC team explored the thinking behind the investment, the impact it has had on day-to-day manufacturing and why standardising on a single machine platform has delivered both commercial and operational benefits.
The full feature will be released across MTDCNC’s channels in the coming days, providing an in-depth look at the company’s journey, the technology behind its success and the lessons other manufacturers can take from its investment strategy.
