Industrial automation leader Fanuc UK has partnered with Reeco Automation to integrate Fanuc’s CRX range of collaborative robots (cobots) into Reeco’s proven RB series of end-of-line palletisers. The collaboration aims to enhance automation accessibility for manufacturers, particularly within the fast-growing food and beverage sector.
As recruitment challenges persist in manual handling roles, demand for Reeco’s compact and efficient RB Palletiser systems has continued to rise. With the inclusion of Fanuc’s CRX-20iA and CRX-30iA cobots — offering payload capacities of 20kg and 30kg respectively — both companies are confident this evolution will deliver greater efficiency, reduced energy use, and long-term cost savings for businesses, including SMEs.
Fanuc’s CRX series is widely recognised for its ease of use, safety, and low maintenance, supported by warranties of up to five years. These robust cobots now form a key component of Reeco’s palletising solution, designed for simple integration and intuitive operation.
“Fanuc is a globally trusted name in automation. Our customers are already familiar with the strength and reliability of their systems,” said Rosie Davies, Managing Director of Reeco Automation. “Incorporating their CRX models into our RB range is a natural progression, and this strategic alignment will also support our ambitions to grow export activity.”
The RB Palletiser stands out for its small footprint, rapid deployment, and adaptability in handling complex tasks — all while operating safely alongside human workers. By aligning its advanced cobot technology with Reeco’s practical, space-saving design, Fanuc brings added value to a rapidly growing segment.
“This partnership arrives at a pivotal time,” added Oliver Selby, Head of Sales at Fanuc UK. “According to recent BARA figures, the food and beverage sector leads the UK in automation uptake. By supporting Reeco’s RB system, we’re helping businesses overcome labour shortages and shift employees to more skilled, value-adding tasks.”
The integration effort has already seen close collaboration between the two technical teams, ensuring a seamless fit between hardware and software. A live demonstration unit is now available for free proof-of-concept trials at Reeco’s headquarters in Newtown. Additionally, the integrated RB Palletiser and Fanuc CRX cobot can be seen in action at the Smart Factory Expo (4–5 June) at the NEC, Birmingham (Stand 5/F40).
