Chloe Reeve from MTDCNC interviews Liam Fernard from DGF Engineering to talk about their latest machine from Dugard. The SMEC SL 2000M has been an upgrade from their existing 2 axis machine. Liam says the new lathe ticks off all the boxes given its features of live tooling, multiple collet sizes, bar puller, and easy-to-use SIEMENS control. DGF Engineering’s previous investment from Dugard has been remarkable, giving them more confidence in the supplier. Well-known for dropping off machines within 24 hours, Dugard had the SMEC SL 2000M delivered, took away the old one, and the next day sent over an engineer for commissioning to have the new lathe up and running by the end of that day! Find out more from Liam as he talks about efficient parts capture with the new lathe.
