Evolutis Strengthens Precision Manufacturing with 3nine Air Filtration Technology
Evolutis has reinforced its commitment to high-precision manufacturing and workplace safety through its ongoing partnership with 3nine.
Specialising in orthopedic implants — including hip, shoulder, hand, and knee prostheses — Evolutis operates in a highly regulated environment where process stability, surface quality, and reliability are critical.
Following the installation of two new DMG MORI machines with high-pressure coolant systems in 2018, Evolutis identified limitations in its existing oil mist extraction solutions. The increased demands of precision machining for medical components required a more robust and reliable approach to air filtration.
The solution came in the form of 3nine’s oil mist separators. Since implementation, every new machine entering the Evolutis facility has been equipped with 3nine technology — ensuring consistent air quality, improved machine performance, and reduced maintenance requirements.
Most recently, Evolutis has installed the FREJA oil mist separator from 3nine’s new APEX Series on a DMG MORI NTX 2500. Designed for airflows up to 1,000 m³/h, the FREJA unit is optimised for wet machining environments using oil or coolant, delivering stable, low-maintenance performance.
The results have been significant:
- Consistently high air quality across the workshop
- Predictable and reduced maintenance schedules
- Reliable support for high-precision manufacturing
HEPA filters now last between three to four years, with maintenance carried out proactively in line with Evolutis’ production planning.
Since 2018, the collaboration between Evolutis and 3nine has evolved into a long-term partnership built on trust, performance, and shared quality standards — supporting the company’s continued growth and excellence in medical manufacturing.
