MTDCNC visited Castalum in Welshpool to speak with Peter Radcliffe (Chairman of Castalum) about what they produce and why they have invested heavily with Mapal. Peter explains that they embarked on a journey of not only casting for their Automotive clients but also invested in a bespoke machine tool shop over the years to finish the casting process and delivering a ready part for their customers needs to stay competitive. We also speak to Ted Coyle (Mapal) about their relationship and how the tool management system works for Castalum and how the cost per part process works for both.
