Adnet Precision Engineering Limited is celebrating the impressive progress of its trainees, Sam and Charlie, who have shown significant development in their roles over recent months. Both trainees have quickly adapted to the precision engineering environment, gaining valuable hands-on experience with various machinery and projects.
Charlie, who joined Adnet in April, has immersed himself in the complexities of precision engineering by working with industries like rheology and aerospace. He has operated manual machines as well as the Naki, Maier, SMEC, and Dugard milling machines. One of his notable projects involved setting an operation on the Hawk Chucker. The challenging field has taught him critical skills such as focus, quick thinking, and patience.
Similarly, Sam, with two and a half months at Adnet, has engaged with the company’s XYZ, Naki, and Dugard milling machines. He has also thrived in the manual machining section, balancing conventional and CNC machining tasks. Sam has contributed to numerous projects, notably a complex task for the oil and gas sector. He emphasises the importance of accuracy, as any setup errors can lead to subsequent mistakes. Both trainees have also become proficient in producing components that pass CMM inspection on the first attempt.
