KUKA has become the first robot manufacturer to receive the IEC 62443-4-2 Security Level 2 certification for its iiQKA.OS2 robot systems. This milestone highlights the company’s commitment to cybersecurity in an increasingly connected and software-driven industrial automation landscape.

The achievement is significant as it aligns KUKA’s products with the security and compliance demands of modern manufacturing. Their iiQKA.OS2 and KR C5 controller platform not only meet the Security Level 2 standards but are also in full compliance with the EN ISO 10218-1:2025 requirements. Furthermore, they are designed to satisfy the European Cyber Resilience Act and comply with the latest Machinery Regulation.

Central to KUKA’s offering is the integration of iiQWorks, creating a robust ecosystem for manufacturers. This platform facilitates secure robot operation, digital engineering, simulation, and commissioning, allowing businesses to accelerate their automation processes while maintaining compliance with stringent security standards.

KUKA’s advancements affirm their role as pioneers in industrial automation, ensuring they are well-equipped for future challenges. By integrating comprehensive security measures, KUKA is setting a precedent for the industry, demonstrating how to address both current and emerging requirements.
