Yuasa India Strengthens Indo-Japanese Manufacturing Ties Through Yuasa Grand Fair 2026!
A delegation of Indian manufacturers, accompanied by Yuasa India, travelled to Japan to participate in the Yuasa Grand Fair 2026, one of the country’s most prestigious private exhibitions for machine tools, industrial automation, and manufacturing technology. The visit provided Indian customers with an exclusive opportunity to interact directly with leading Japanese machine builders, witness cutting-edge manufacturing solutions in action, and gain valuable insights into the production philosophies that have made Japan a global benchmark for engineering excellence.
The Yuasa Grand Fair is the flagship technology exhibition organised by Yuasa Co., Ltd., bringing together renowned Japanese manufacturers of machine tools, automation systems, precision engineering equipment, cutting technologies, and factory solutions under one roof. Unlike conventional trade exhibitions, the Grand Fair is conducted across multiple regions of Japan, allowing a broader cross-section of industries to participate while providing international visitors with exposure to a diverse range of manufacturing capabilities.
The 2026 edition is being held across five major venues throughout the year, including Makuhari Messe in the Kanto region, Yume Messe Miyagi in Tohoku, Marine Messe Fukuoka in Kyushu, Intex Osaka in Kansai, and Aichi Sky Expo in Chubu. The multi-location format reflects Yuasa’s commitment to showcasing the latest innovations from manufacturers across Japan while connecting customers with technology leaders driving the future of industrial production.
Speaking about the exhibition, Akikazu Namai, Managing Director of Yuasa India, said the Yuasa Grand Fair has become an important platform for promoting Japanese manufacturing excellence globally. First organised in 1978, the event is celebrating its 48th edition this year, continuing a tradition of introducing customers from Japan and around the world to the latest developments in manufacturing technology.
Namai explained that Yuasa’s technology partners continuously invest in research and product development to create world-class manufacturing solutions that contribute to the strength of Japanese industry. Through the Grand Fair, the company aims to connect customers with these innovations while helping manufacturers improve productivity, quality, and competitiveness through advanced engineering solutions.
The exhibition featured a comprehensive range of machine tools, production equipment, automation systems, precision machining technologies, industrial software, measurement solutions, and smart manufacturing technologies. Visitors explored innovations designed to improve machining accuracy, reduce production cycle times, enhance factory automation, and support digital manufacturing initiatives across a wide range of industrial applications.
Yuasa Co., Ltd. itself has a distinguished industrial heritage dating back to 1666, with the company formally established in 1919. Celebrating its 360th anniversary in 2026, the Tokyo-headquartered organisation has evolved into a diversified industrial group operating across manufacturing, industrial equipment, machine tools, construction machinery, housing systems, environmental technologies, and community infrastructure. Listed on the Prime Market of the Tokyo Stock Exchange, Yuasa’s Machine Tools Division plays a vital role in introducing Japanese manufacturing technologies to industries around the world, including India.
As part of the programme, Yuasa India organised visits to several leading Japanese manufacturing facilities, allowing Indian customers to experience production environments beyond the exhibition floor. Delegates visited the factories of Sakurai, Seibu Electric & Machinery Co., Ltd., Mitsui High-tec, Enshu, Nagase Integrex Co., Ltd., and Mitsu Seiki, where they observed advanced machining processes, precision engineering practices, quality management systems, and highly automated manufacturing operations.
According to Barjinder Singh, Business Head at Yuasa India, the Grand Fair offers much more than an opportunity to view new products. He described it as a platform where customers can engage directly with Japanese technology experts, discuss real manufacturing challenges, and explore practical solutions for improving productivity and operational performance. Singh highlighted the visit to Sakurai’s manufacturing facility as one of the key highlights of the delegation’s itinerary and acknowledged the support extended by Yuasa Japan and its technology partners throughout the programme.
The discussions during the visit focused on applications relevant to Indian manufacturing sectors, including production machining, precision engineering, toolrooms, die and mould manufacturing, die casting, and industrial automation. By combining live machine demonstrations with factory visits, participants gained a deeper understanding of how Japanese manufacturers integrate technology, process discipline, and continuous improvement to achieve consistently high standards of quality and efficiency.
Sharing his experience, Arunkumar Kulkarni, Senior Manager – Sales & Marketing at Yuasa India, described the visit as an outstanding learning opportunity for Indian manufacturers. He said bringing together some of Japan’s leading machine tool manufacturers under one roof enabled customers to explore the latest technological developments while reinforcing the value Yuasa delivers through its long-standing relationships with globally recognised machine builders.
As Indian manufacturers continue to modernise their operations and adopt advanced manufacturing technologies, initiatives such as the Yuasa Grand Fair play a crucial role in facilitating international collaboration and technology transfer. By providing direct access to Japanese engineering expertise, world-class production facilities, and innovative machine tool solutions, Yuasa India continues to strengthen the bridge between Indian industry and Japan’s globally respected manufacturing ecosystem, helping customers improve competitiveness, productivity, and long-term business growth.
